This conference will be of interest to all those who are advising, planning or performing contracts in Contingency Contracting environments, including: Contracting Professionals; Auditors; Attorneys; Compliance Professionals; Investigators; Business Development personnel; Human Resources leadership; IT Personnel; and, Information Security Managers.  The dynamic expert sessions will be accompanied by extensive networking opportunities.

Risks & Mitigation Measures You Need to Know

The C² Summit has drawn upon their extensive experience in Contingency Contracting to identify the most common risks companies confront in winning and performing U.S. government contracts in Contingency areas.   The subject matter experts will describe the unique compliance challenges contractors experience in contingency environments.  They will also provide insights regarding best practices to mitigate the risk and thereby enhance both the company’s compliance and profitability in this challenging environment.

There are many factors which can adversely impact the legal, financial and reputational risks for companies performing contingency contracts.   Often times companies and service providers don’t have an appreciation for the compliance challenges related to contract awards and performance in areas that are either failed states, disaster areas or non-rule of law countries.  This lack of insight into the challenges and risk mitigation measures can prove costly to a company.  The scope of this session will encompass the latest caselaw, regulatory, and statutory developments in this area.  The speakers will also apply their first-hand insights into the risk and best practice mitigation measures.  The “boots on the ground” experiences of the speakers makes the subject matter in this session timely and the lessons learned invaluable.
